It relies fully on the programs and performance goals. Some games work well, while others may cause problems.

The term "bottleneck" is significantly underestimated; the CPU should handle its tasks efficiently while the GPU manages its workload effectively.

In many workloads the GPU work isn't as dependent on the CPU like in gaming, such as when rendering videos with Premiere Pro; the Nvidia cards mainly speed up processing through CUDA acceleration, making the impact situation-dependent.

For university projects I’ll use After Effects, C4D and SOLIDWORKS. I also plan to stream Cyberpunk 2077 at a high setting.

It’s going to be pretty clear, no fluff. The 2600 will face some bottlenecks. The top performance per core (highest clock speed) CPU available for this card is exactly what you need. (Intel)

When 'a small slow point' appears around a couple of percent, it doesn't matter much. If you're focusing on school first and gaming later, go ahead. If you're prioritizing gaming now and school afterward, it's okay—still try. I encourage you to spot the slow part without searching for it.

Performance will be constrained by the CPU, though it shouldn’t seriously slow down the GPU. For tasks like SolidWorks, the GPU is heavily utilized, so using a high-end NVidia card would give better results. A Quadro would provide the top performance in this context.

It should work well in a cyberpunk setting. Whether you run it at high or low settings depends on your GPU. Games from the 2600 tend to strain the system more during multiplayer shooters or titles from Ubisoft.

The AMD 2600 offers slightly less single-threaded performance compared to the 6700K. However, a 10% or greater bottleneck might exist depending on IPC values versus newer CPU advancements. Without a more modern configuration, it's hard to pinpoint the exact issue, but the card remains capable. Ultimately, the answer is yes.
