I recently switched to Windows 11. I verified everything is compatible—TPM, Secure Boot, etc.—and everything worked smoothly until now. A warning appeared asking me to enable LSA. When I looked in the settings, there was no toggle for LSA. The Local Group Policy Editor didn’t list it either, and the Event Viewer showed no LSA events. This caused some concern because Windows Defender hadn’t reported any LSA activity until recently, and all traces seemed missing.

The notification redirected to settings section didn’t show the Local Security Authority protection option.

This appears to be an issue with local group policy settings. Occasionally, normal network group policy adjustments can cause unexpected behavior (like improper drive mapping), and simply logging out and back in may resolve the problem. Windows 10/11 frequently cleans temporary files and log files automatically, so inspecting the task scheduler for disk cleanup tasks could help identify what was clearing your logs.

Your recent update resolved the Local Group Policy Editor problem. The LSA issue seems to have been addressed, though the Event Viewer still doesn’t show any related events. It might help to check if the fix was fully applied or if there are other underlying causes.

You also verify GP following each Windows update. Usually when Microsoft introduces a new function, it can affect existing configurations. Running domain at my residence is always enjoyable since an update on one machine often requires updating the GP on my server.

Thank you. I'll remember that. Right now, I'm uncertain whether LSA is installed on my system.
