Certainly you'd see better results with overclocking. You should definitely acquire a solid B-Die setup. This processor is expected to reach around 4000mhz memory speed. A 5ghz CPU boost depends heavily on cooling. Maintain the CPU at roughly 80c or lower during peak operation; 85c will begin affecting stability. Start the cache at 4.5ghz and increase gradually. Keep the Vcore and Vccsa (system agent) voltages near 1.2v—most rigs handle this, though it adds extra heat but helps memory consistency. F4-3600C16D-16GVK RipJaws aren't cheap, but they should overclock well.
