I'll break it down further. Consider this scenario: I aim to add myself to The Crew. On Steam, the Crew remains available for purchase at full price, whereas a Uplay key would cost only €10. If I obtain a Uplay key, I won't have the game in my Steam library. The same applies to Origin. Do you encounter similar problems when purchasing games? Although the prices are attractive, I prefer keeping my games in my Steam collection to avoid losing them. Would you find this worth discussing? €60 on Steam versus €10 for a Uplay key.

Check platforms like G2A first to compare prices for a Steam key. If another service is the only option, add it to your Steam library. Your Steam friends will see you playing it, though you won’t earn achievements or track time. It’s not ideal, but sometimes it works.

I never faced any issues with Steam, the only concerns were on my end.

It's already a noticeable improvement over 10 versus 60

So essentially, the only choice is this one!

I share this view since I enjoy the Steam features (like achievements, time tracking and keeping them in my Steam library). Adding it as a non-Steam title isn’t the same for me. This is why I tend to be cautious when purchasing used PC games, even if they’re inexpensive.

It's accurate, but as I mentioned earlier, I prefer playing on Steam over Uplay. Curious what others believe about this.

If I could pick freely without limits, I’d choose Steam. But if I’m limited to ten dollars, I’d look for the best deal anywhere. I still think Uplay is pretty decent, even if it feels a bit low quality.
