You're asking about how adding more RAM sticks to your system might impact clock speed and latency. It sounds like you're considering a daisy-chained setup, which could affect performance. Others with the same motherboard may have shared experiences—checking forums or community groups would be helpful.

Four connectors provide identical bandwidth, yet they increase pressure on the interconnect and the imc. Reaching matching clocks or FCLK becomes more challenging. If additional capacity isn't necessary, skip it.

I noticed some feedback suggesting a minor boost in gaming speed, and the RAM I’m currently using is discounted. I’m curious about others’ experiences with 4 dimming settings on a Mortar Max and whether that would be worthwhile.

What is this? No, it won't. It won't alter what I mentioned. Likely won't match the same frequency or timing/FCLK as I described. If you don't need the additional capacity, just skip it.

At Intel it's happening for a specific reason. Zen exhibits unusual IMC characteristics.

You can use 4 sticks, but there's a chance you will have to downgrade to 3600 mhz on all sticks, or increase the memory timings a bit. "Driving" 4 sticks is just harder for the memory controller in the cpu, so there's no guarantee you'll be able to keep 3733 mhz with all four sticks. Yes, it's possible to get a very tiny performance increase in SOME games but it's so small it would probably be offset by the fact you may have to lower to 3600 mhz or go to something like CL18-19

Only two memory channels available It shouldn't Be strange.

Someone mentioned something interesting. Check this out: it's just a 0-2% variation.

It involves memory ranks and how requests are interleaved to fetch data efficiently. When RAM sticks have multiple ranks or four ranks, the controller can schedule requests so that data becomes available by the time it needs to be read from another rank. This reduces the waiting time between commands and when data is actually ready for transfer. The process is complex but essential for performance.

The variation is insignificant; I wouldn't consider it a distinct difference.
