No Power
I’ve mounted a 5800x on a b550 board with a Ryzen cooler using some thermal paste. After that, I added an IO shield and plugged in the CPU power cable once I secured the motherboard on 9 standoffs (3x3x3). I linked the base board cables—LED and HDD according to polarity, plus the reverse switch—and then attached the third fan (3pin) in the back to the board. The remaining two fans had labeled power cables that I matched with those from my PSU and connected them. Next, I installed my SSD into the 3.5-inch bay by securing it and linking it to the SATA port on the motherboard using the PSU’s SATA cables. Finally, I proceeded to install the GPU and connect it to the PSU.
Noted, but I thought I could handle it later since my main goal was to check if I could install a boot. It’s a semi-modular Thermaltake 80+ Bronze 650-watt model.
If the PSU doesn't power up, verify the motherboard power cable is properly inserted. Ensure the two sensor pins on the power supply are correctly connected before turning it on. Also confirm the Power On front IO cables are securely attached—misalignment can cause issues. If everything checks out, the problem likely lies elsewhere.
Yes, it is connected correctly. The unused pin might be due to a wiring issue or a component not being activated.
