I increased my RAM speed to 2667 at 1.36 and the PC started up, but the RAM voltage in the BIOS changed from 1.36 to 1.34 before returning. Later, I tried to overclock the CPU (Ryzen 7 1700) to 3.5 at 1.25V, but the system stopped responding. My motherboard is an MSI Tomahawk B350. When trying to boot, two LEDs light up briefly in the top right corner. I changed the RAM slots from 2-4 to 1-3 and reset the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery (it felt unusual if you didn’t remove the GPU). I cleaned the PC with toilet paper and put it back, but nothing worked. After restarting, three long beeps appeared with the LEDs still on, then the PC restarted again without any beeps or lights. What should I do? I’m not sure how to use jumpers to reset the BIOS.

Reset the BIOS by taking out the battery and disconnecting the system power. Keep the battery in and power off for a minimum of 10 minutes so the capacitors can discharge completely.

I did that, but I'm not sure if you need a special piece for the jumpers.

You don't have to use a jumper to restart your BIOS. If your motherboard has JBAT1 pins, simply use a screwdriver to jump them for about 10 seconds. However, I prefer the method alceryes recommended—unplug the PC and remove the CMOS battery for at least 10 minutes before plugging it back in and booting up. I'm currently dealing with a similar problem. I've tried resetting the BIOS by jumping the CMOS multiple times, but the PC still won't start. When I get home today, I'll follow alceryes' instructions.

Thanks, it works now. I have a more intriguing issue to tackle, but I believe I'll need a fresh thread because it relates to our capabilities.

Well IT worked, I didn't realize it needed to be removed for a long time.
