Motherboard connections: PS/2 port for keyboard and mouse, CMOS reset button, coaxial and optical SPDIF outputs, IEEE1394 interface, multiple USB ports, eSATA slot, RJ45 jack, and a 6-in-1 audio jack.
Unfortunately, the motherboard doesn’t have LED indicators for diagnostic codes. You might want to consider a speaker system as suggested by Lurick to obtain the necessary codes.
Interesting observation! I recently discovered that some motherboards refuse to boot when the CMOS is inactive or empty. Do you have an extra CMOS battery nearby? It might be worth testing it out after swapping the battery. This happened with my dad's motherboard.
That's a solid plan! I won't have any extra supplies, so I'll purchase a pack now and give it a try. Appreciate the tip!
