Hey everyone, I'm trying to get my setup running but it's not working as expected. I have an Intel i7 990x processor, MSI X58A-GD45 graphics card, dual-channel RAM, a HIS IceQ X2 card, a Seagate Barracuda 1000GB drive, and an ATNG ATM-600F power supply. It powers on, but I can't post content. I've tested two monitors on the right source via HDMI and DisplayPort, swapped out the graphics card with two others (RX 6500XT and GT 710), replaced the RAM with a single 4GB stick, confirmed the RAM slots and settings are correct, and re-seated everything. The HDD is a loaner from another system I'm using to try posting, though it has Windows 10. I've used the CMOS reset button and a jumper to clear it, but nothing seems to work. My guess is the power supply might be the issue—I could replace it if needed, but I only have another unit from a different system. The other system I use is still posting, so I'm hoping you can help with that one too. Right now, I'm focusing on getting the 990X running smoothly. Any suggestions?

Do you have any of those boards available? I didn’t notice a debug message or speaker during my search unless I overlooked something.

The indicator LED isn't displaying an error on the motherboard. Does this speaker connect to other systems?

It's a typical audio device placed on the speaker header, found on nearly all motherboards regardless of age

Do you notice the MSI startup screen? Disconnect the graphics card and connect only the built-in HDMI. Test it on another display or TV. If it doesn’t work, there’s likely a significant hardware issue. Reduce the system to its simplest state—just the essential RAM, no GPU, no storage—and attempt to boot into Setup (BIOS).

The CPU lacks built-in graphics, but a splash screen can still appear due to other system processes or startup routines.

Your video cable, GPU, and monitor function properly on another machine—test them thoroughly. If everything works smoothly, you should notice the splash screen unless something is wrong. You’ll need to check each component individually. Once only RAM and the motherboard remain, identify the issue among them.

There is no video signal available from the rear I/O port.

Are you referring to the GPU video output? Are any Diagnostic Debug Lights illuminating (such as CPU, DRAM, VGA)? If yes, that points to the issue. If not, there might still be a hardware problem—remove each removable component and test on a functional system. If everything functions, the motherboard could be the culprit, possibly due to a short circuit.
