Hi, I changed the case settings on my HP Pavilion Gaming desktop, but the motherboard only has an on/off switch and no power cable. Now I have to open it every time I want to turn the computer on. Sorry for the unclear English—I’m trying to figure out how to connect it properly.

Link the case power button wires to the motherboard power button terminals. You may also connect through the switch leads; use a screwdriver to bridge them and test if the system powers on.

This unique motherboard isn’t easily adaptable to another enclosure, requiring some adjustments to connect the button. You should solder the power button leads from your case to the switch on the board.

To keep the original features intact, especially if selling, a board needs both buttons connected. This ensures functionality without relying solely on the power button.

It seems the setup isn’t secure. There’s just one screw holding the motherboard, and it looks like there are no spacers between the board and the case. This could lead to issues down the line.
