I believe theres an option to do it and keep your files and whatnot, but I'd backup your stuff either way. If you're refreshing it because of slowness or something related to that, it probably wont do much compared to a full reinstallation.

You have the option, but always create backups just in case. Plus, it would be ideal to fully format everything and perform a clean installation of Windows if possible.
