Hello, Your ROG-STRIX-RTX2080TI-O11G-GAMING GPU has been with you for a while, but playing Overwatch 2 has caused artefacts, black screens and crashes. After using DDU to reinstall drivers, the problem persists. It might be a temporary issue, but I'm still trying to fix it. I'm not very tech-savvy, so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
I was using Overwatch 2 and then my computer would turn off, and afterward it would keep detecting the GPU at low load levels while playing.
Hi, I noticed you haven't updated the drivers before starting Overwatch 2. Also, did you keep an eye on the temperatures to ensure they stayed within the recommended range? This seems like a driver-related problem, similar to what another user mentioned. A DDU and a fresh HDMI cable resolved it for them. New drivers can cause such issues, and I’m not sure if the game itself is the cause since there aren’t many reports linking it to this problem.
I experienced the identical problem. When I first played OW 2, my screen would crash and I had to restart the computer to get it back up. Later, this same issue occurred in other games as well.
