Hi there, just wanted to check if overclocking the CPU could harm the GPU.
My GPU is already showing some signs of trouble.
PC specs: CPU AMD Athlon II X2 240 (stock 2.8 GHz), overclocked to 3.5 GHz.
MOBO: Alive nf6g-vsta, BIOS: beta version 2.26, GPU: GeForce 210 1GB LP.
I set the OC options to CPU TO PCIE ASYNC. The stock clock is 200 MHz and PCIe speed is 100 MHz. After overclocking, I increased the clock to 250 MHz with PCIe at 125 MHz using X14 multiplier.
I’m curious about this because the differences in speeds might affect stability.

Wouldn't it be better unless you possess an inexpensive power supply unit? While discussing the specific brand and model of your PSU.

This shouldn't be the case unless you're using an inexpensive power supply. Speaking of that, what is the make and model of your PSU?

AtomicWAR: It shouldn't be unless you're using a cheap PSU. What's the brand and model of your PSU? Should I consider replacing it and reverting to the original speed?

I wouldn't rely on your PC until you fix the power supply...

Tier 1 or tier 2 PSU only...anything less is a risk for you and your PC.

Thanks for the update, I was considering purchasing a new GPU but might need to invest in a different PSU instead.

What kind of indicators are you referring to? Are you aiming to utilize the GPU for gaming purposes, or is there another intention? This older graphics card was quite basic even at launch, so considering a replacement might be wise.

What kind of indicators are you noticing? Are you aiming to use the GPU for gaming or another purpose? That graphics card is quite outdated and performed poorly even at launch. You might want to consider replacing it.
