I started by partially upgrading my PC. My setup includes an mpg x570 gaming board, a Gigabyte 3060 Ryzen 9 5900X processor, a 600-watt PSU (this could be the problem), and two 8GB DDR4 RAM sticks. Windows 10 received a BIOS update to support the new CPU chipset. After installing the new parts, everything worked smoothly for about four hours of testing. Then I turned off the machine and went to sleep. The next day I noticed only fans and GPU lights were active—no peripherals or display appeared. I removed the GPU and tried turning it on; the keyboard powered up with just the CPU. I checked my 700W PSU installed on Thursday but wasn’t sure if anyone had any advice.
Have you attempted inserting the 2060 ko and run a test? (if available) It will indicate whether the GPU is likely the issue. You can also try testing it on another device.
Ensuring it remains in excellent condition is ideal. Starting with a solid PSU also makes a big difference.
First, consider replacing that power supply unit as soon as possible. Next, try using a fresh CMOS battery. If the new battery doesn’t start up, just leave it in place—don’t turn it off. Allow it to sit for about 5 to 10 minutes before attempting again. Good luck!
I ended up focusing on my personal goals, thanks for the advice and responses.
