I just moved in and connected my PC, it started up normally but I used the wrong Ethernet cable, so I unplugged it and installed the correct one. After switching it back on, the monitor showed no signal despite everything appearing fine. I cleaned the RAM, replaced the GPU, and checked the CMOS battery, but nothing works. The GPU is spinning and glowing.
Welcome to the discussion boards! Be aware this post might be a bit disorganized. Just plug in only the power cable and avoid turning anything off unless necessary. The title should refer to something other than "monitor." For troubleshooting, confirm your monitors are connected to the GPU (if applicable) instead of the motherboard and verify they're using the right input. Test with just one monitor at a time—switch it on separately. If you have extra cables, swap out the display cords to see if that resolves the issue. Consider using another video source like a game console or DVD player to check for image problems. This approach helps pinpoint whether the problem lies with your monitors or the original source. Having a build list would also be helpful.
Hello, I own an NVIDIA 1070 FE, an R5 3600, a B450 motherboard (I’m not sure of the exact brand), and I have enough power to keep the system running. I haven’t found your advice yet, but it seems the issue lies with the hardware itself. The laptop monitor worked fine, but the PC didn’t respond when I used one monitor, and I’ve tried HDMI and DP cables without success.
