When powering up the system, no beep occurs for the post, yet the GPU connector light changes color, fans spin, but no signal reaches the monitor. Power supply unit is Corsair CX650m, CPU is Ryzen 3 3100, motherboard B450M-A Pro Max, GPU is XFX AMD Raiden RX 5500 XT, RAM is 1x16GB DDR4 2666MHz, SSD is Crucial P310 1TB (no OS installed).
Actions taken: Reconnected all connectors, RAM, CPU. Switched cables and monitors. Removed RAM stick to check speaker diagnostics – they worked. Tested a functional graphics card (R9 Nano) in this setup – same issue. Disconnected all peripherals. Removed CMOS battery for 30 minutes, then reinserted. Started PC with a bootable USB. Tried booting without the SSD. No further solutions identified.
Consider testing the GPU on another desktop or checking compatibility manually.
Was das neue System noch einmal funktioniert? Hat es je zuvor funktioniert? Ohne Ram gibt es einen Piepton, mit ihm nicht. Wenn ja, probiere einen anderen Stab aus. Bearbeitet am 12.01 von leclod
Most components are familiar, though a few are brand new such as the graphics card and SSD. When the RAM stick is removed, three long beeps appear suggesting a RAM problem due to improper insertion. Inserting it again doesn’t trigger that sound, but I don’t hear any post-beep notification either.
You've experimented with various options? Another set of RAM sticks might work well, someone could help you without interrupting their own device.
I used the alternative slot, there was no RAM alert sound but still no post sound, I haven’t switched to another RAM stick yet since there were no alerts.
I don't know if the rx5500XT behaves differently but I own an rx6600XT and the light above the connector lights up when there is no power in the PCI-e cable (or no cable connected). May be you should double-check if that cable carries power correctly. Or you can check in the manual to see if they explain the meaning of the led being lit. Good luck !
This setup also signals red when it lacks power. The main change is the absence of a blue light to show power status. I double-checked your parts list and noticed you have a Ryzen 3 3100. You should likely locate a replacement at a used repair shop for a reasonable cost. This would be a simple solution if the price fits. In the worst scenario, you might find an AM4 spare CPU. The next step in troubleshooting is probably testing each component individually on another machine to spot any faults. If all tests succeed, the issue is likely with the motherboard. Have a great day!
