Hello everyone, I’m facing a problem with my PC that’s really causing me concern. When using Windows 11, my GPU works perfectly fine. But in BIOS and Linux it keeps malfunctioning constantly. I notice my displays suddenly lose signal, usually after about 15 to 30 minutes of startup, and I’m forced to reset the whole system (pressing the power button). I’ve tested both DisplayPort and HDMI connections. My main monitor uses DisplayPort, while I tried HDMI on a TV. I also swapped the cables and changed inputs during the issue, but it didn’t help. In Linux, I sometimes hear audio still playing in the background, which might be useful. I understand my GPU might behave differently in Linux even with proper drivers, but I’m puzzled about why this happens when idle in BIOS. I’ve updated both my motherboards and BIOS/VBios, but nothing resolved it. I removed the CMOS battery for a few hours, reinserted the video card, checked cables, toggled CSM and XMP settings. If anyone has any insights or suggestions, please share them. Thanks in advance. Here are my PC specs: Ryzen 5800x RTX 3060 Ti (OC GAMING PRO from gigabyte) 32GB 3200MHz Corsair RAM b550 AORUS Pro v2 Samsung SSD 980 PRO 2TB Seagate ST2000DM001-ER164 2TB Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB Corsair RM750X

Not entirely sure, but have you looked at your VGA output configuration in BIOS? It might freeze because it thinks it should be sending data to the Igpu, but there isn’t one installed (the 5800X doesn’t have an Igpu). I don’t think we’ll fix it here—just check the BIOS video settings. For your motherboard, the issue is likely in the advanced CPU settings. I found a screenshot of a BIOS for your board. Also, everyone says to verify the GPUs VBIO settings, not just drivers—they’re not loaded in BIOS.

I discovered the downloads page for your GPU here: https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Graphics-Car...rt-dl-bios Alternatively, you can search for your graphics card model and check the support section for BIOS downloads. It's better to avoid clicking on random links strangers send online.

Absolutely, I can help with that. When needed, connect via SSH to check logs and run commands like `sudo dmesg -wH` or `journalctl -r` for details.
