I just got a PC from my brother. It worked when I first turned it on. During a Windows update, around the 60% mark, the screen stopped and showed no signal. I left it on for an hour, hoping it would resolve itself. Eventually, I powered it off and restarted it—still no signal. The GPU light on my motherboard stayed orange, indicating VRAM issues. After disassembling everything, I reassembled it carefully to verify connections. My system: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X CPU CORSAIR - VENGEANCE LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB) RADEON RX580 GPU w/ 8GB VRAM ASUS ROG Strix B450 Gaming Motherboard Corsair CX450M power supply Samsung 1TB SSD Hard Drive Seagate 2TB HDD Hard Drive.
The orange light is not VRAM but DRAM. Seem to be a problem with your memory. First clear CMOS. Then try to boot. If unsucessful try to boot with one stick at a time.
Cleared CMOS using a screwdriver (power disconnected) to link the two pins, but it didn’t work. After that, removed the CMOS battery and still no signal. Tried fresh RAM without success. Still no response. Planning to switch to a different motherboard. Hope it keeps the graphics card in place.
