I've got an HP Pavilion 500-500C with a Memphis motherboard. My friend recently lent me his old MSI GTX 670, which I installed into my system and upgraded the power supply to Corsair VX 550. After setting up the new GPU and PSU, my fans are spinning but the monitor shows no signal. I've tried a new monitor using both HDMI and VGA cables, updated the BIOS, installed drivers before installing the new GPU, and checked that my PSU isn't the problem—my old graphics card works fine when I swap it out, possibly indicating damaged PCIe cables. The fans on the GPU are also deleting existing drivers. Anyone have any advice on how to fix this?

I experienced the same problem after switching from a GT705 using PCIe power to a GTX460. The GPU didn’t show anything, even when connected to the onboard graphics or switching back to the GT705. It seems like an issue with Windows 10 or the outdated graphics card might be involved. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'll go through some checks to confirm: Verify your cables are connected to the card, not the motherboard. Ensure the graphics card is firmly seated with pressure applied, but it should click into position. Confirm your PC supports a graphics card—check the motherboard and CPU specifications. Open Device Manager and look for the GPU under display adapters. If present, install GeForce Experience and update drivers. If not, revert to step 2. If it appears in Device Manager after a reboot but still doesn't show, it might be incompatible. If driver reinstallation helps, proceed.
