It’s a complicated situation, but it’s worth mentioning because of how unpredictable this issue is. I purchased a new RAM kit—G-Skill Neo 32GB, 3600 MHz, 16 channels. After installation, I turned on XMP and everything functioned properly for two weeks. One day after turning on the PC, the second monitor failed to power on and the GPU wasn’t recognized. I moved the GPU around, rearranged the RAM slots, and after a restart everything worked again. This occurred 2 to 3 times. Now I’m here, and the same problem is happening again. Only the second monitor won’t turn on, and the GPU remains undetected. After several restarts, it’s still not showing up.
On today’s attempt, the issue persisted—both the second monitor and GPU couldn’t be detected. When I plugged everything back in, RAM worked fine per each slot but not together. In Device Manager, the GPU appeared when the monitor was off, but with a yellow warning. Once everything was normal, Device Manager and Task Manager displayed 32GB RAM. I tried another set of RAM (16GB G-Skill 3600 CAS 18), which seemed to work, but it might have been just a coincidence.
I also updated BIOS to the latest version, reinstalled drivers, and tested with a different power supply. The specs are: Ryzen 5600X B550 Aorus Elite V2 (Rev 1.0), 32GB RAM, 3600 MHz, 16GB 3600 CAS, G-Skill Trident Z Neo (C-DIE)/16GB 3600 CAS 18, RGB variant (C-DIE) 6600XT 550W XFX XT. I upgraded to a lower wattage unit and plan to upgrade soon.
I’ve got a new battery for the motherboard, set BIOS defaults, and DDU was reinstalled.
Combining RAM can lead to these problems. Often, two RAM modules just seem incompatible and won’t cooperate with XMP enabled. But usually, they function with the slower module’s configuration. In this scenario, you’d use the higher timing values initially to get stable performance, then adjust later as a RAM OC. Would it be possible to apply the slower kit’s XMP settings?
I'm not mixing RAM, sorry if I made it confusing. You have two 16GB 3600 CAS 16 and two 8GB 3600 CAS 18 units. The 2x8 works well, the 2x16 is not great, and the single 16GB unit also functions fine even with XMP support.
I noticed the timing settings on the 2x16GB module. It might be that your CPU's memory controller isn't fully supporting it. In theory, any speed above DDR4-3200 can be adjusted for the Ryzen 5000 line. Likely, DDR4-3600 CL18 is functioning just fine with your CPU, while DDR4-3600 CL16 is pushing too far. Working with a single stick reduces the load on the memory controller, possibly bringing it back into stable territory. It's also worth considering the possibility that the RAM itself could be faulty—this shouldn't be dismissed.
2x16 doesn't fit in the stock setting. I even tested 2133 with different timing options but it didn't work. Now I'm using 2x8 sticks instead, avoiding XMP because of past stability issues. I've been using manual voltage 1.30 and timings 3600 18-22-22-44, and it's functioning well.
We need to confirm if the product is faulty before processing a return or exchange.

For a bit of humor, I tried the quad channel setup and now my PC is working smoothly with 48GB RAM at 3200MHz with specific timings. Even after several restarts, everything runs okay. What’s really happening here?
Unusual I've tried 2x16 3600CL18 without problems, but Corsair Anyway if the PC behaves oddly at lower RAM speeds.
