Indicates the directory is accessible by multiple people. Removing it will prevent others from viewing the documents since they’re removed from the storage. Verify that no other users are editing the files in the folder prior to deletion.

Additionally, avoid manually deleting any unnecessary files. For extra storage, use the built-in Windows Disk Cleaning tool. Consider upgrading to Windows 10 and navigating to System > Storage in the updated Settings. Windows 10 also offers automatic disk cleanup via Storage Sense. Just a reminder, upgrading to Windows 10 (or another current OS) is recommended... Windows 7 no longer receives support, though you're likely aware of that.
