You need a Radeon to achieve that quality, because Nvidia doesn’t support 8K downsampling. Even then, it still feels absurd to capture such clear images.
It was surprising to see this on a 1080P display, especially since they only support it at 4K. On my Radeon, 1440P and 1080P can handle 8K.

Feeling a bit lost, are we reducing quality or increasing it? Downscaling 4K to 1080p can make things run faster while keeping a similar look. It doesn’t create a perfect copy but offers better performance without sacrificing too much detail.
On a GPU such as a 7900 XT or higher, they manage significantly more than typical workloads. If you rely solely on RT, your performance will be limited to RT with poor visual quality. A 320-bit bus paired with 192 ROPs and 800 GB/s is largely unused even at 1440P resolution. At 1080P, 8K video is downscaled to 1080P before applying FSR upscaling from around 6K to 8K. The footage captures the internal rendering process, not the final 1080P output, which hardware encoding can only achieve if you intentionally restrict settings. For instance, this card supports path tracing in Cyberpunk smoothly at 1080P with FSR quality while maintaining about 55-60 FPS—no frame generation needed. However, the visual fidelity remains very low.
