I was just wondering why I'm using pro mode—it's frustrating every time I play games. I enjoy racing and driving cars in general. I really liked the Forza series, especially Gran Turismo. Forza 4 stood out as the best racing game for me, with many top 1% lap times without any help. I even completed my career on tough settings with only three losses. While Grand Theft Auto isn't a simulation, I recently set 18 world records in lap times (though I'm not sure if I still hold them). In project cars, everything feels off: the brakes lock instantly, turning corners causes spins, and manual shifts sound terrible. Even slight turns can lead to sliding at high speeds. It seems like the developers didn't prioritize a realistic experience for pro mode. I find it hard to drive smoothly without losing control, even on short laps.

I can't express my disappointment fully. It's challenging with all the trailers and content, creating a simulator-like atmosphere for the game. It should feel more similar to the Forza series. For newcomers, it's easier to control initially (standard assist is available). There are many settings to adjust for a more realistic experience! However, the game still has numerous bugs and issues. I believe the upcoming updates will address many of these problems, including incorrect engine sounds. Keep in mind that despite delays, it remains a rushed product!

I immediately enabled pro mode but can't grasp why everything doesn't feel natural. It's meant to show zero assists, yet it still feels forced. I dislike how a slight turn just to shift a few feet causes the car to slide instead of straightening once the wheel aligns. It seems unfair for using the steering wheel—any movement over 50Kph will trigger sliding and loss of control.

I'm comfortable with it. Clearly I've never operated a vehicle, let alone a prototype or F1 car. Yet they seem to behave as one would expect. They provide good grip but aren't quite solid enough to stay firmly on the ground like a fly on shit. Still, they feel smooth and realistic. Pushing them too hard will cause you to hit the barrier.

Have you tried any racing simulations before? I've only driven a McLaren P1, which gave me the feeling of piloting a Rav4 with a jet engine on.

I haven't faced anything like this before, it's really tough. I haven't played the game much yet either. There was a time when keeping a RUF in a straight line in the rain was an issue, but I assumed it was my bad driving. After you started this discussion, many people seem to agree that the handling isn't quite right. I hope they address it soon!

I'm looking forward to it, though I wasn't as thrilled about this game as I was for Forza 4.

I've driven Assetto Corsa and GT6. I've also tried some racing games and you definitely need to slow down when going around corners. Specifically, between first and second gear. Unless you're behind a F1 or prototype car, you won't be taking corners very fast. I'm generally satisfied, though opinions differ—it's all about personal preference.

I love it, the cars feel great. It's pretty bad with a controller of course (which is what i use) But frankly how can you have a realistic game that feels realistic with a controller? If you are using a controller then try my settings. steering deadzone 0 steering sensitivity 0 throttle deadzone 0 throttle sensitivity 30 brake deadzone 10 brake sensitivity 15 clutch sensitivity 45 speed sensitivity 60 controller filtering sensitivity 40 advanced off I dominate online with these settings, you really need to be gentle with it and feel the weight of the car. The fact they have ben collins/ the stig working on the game is great. If he thinks this is realistic then he must be right...as frankly he has a huge reputation on the line and his entire life is all about driving.

I'll give it a shot; I'm planning to purchase a racing wheel, but I don't have room for it.
