No problem at all, just not wanting all my data stored with Microsoft. I’m thinking TunnelBear or HotSpot Shield instead...

The reason isn't exactly what they stated. It comes from Microsoft, so they might have the ability to reach any information you're sending to them. It could be a possibility, not a certainty.

I rely on PIA. It seems to function well for me. I entered the details on the Windows 10 VPN as a test and logged in—PIA confirmed I was verified encrypted. Still, I keep using the PIA app, but on my phone I must install the built-in VPN software now.
