After upgrading to Windows 10, I haven’t had much time to enjoy gaming. This week I’m on holiday, so I decided to revisit my collection and see what I can play. My setup is visible in my profile. So far, only a handful of games have worked with mixed results. Metro 2033 Last Light Redux crashes quickly, Borderlands 2 freezes briefly before recovering, and I’m experiencing audio glitches after reinstalling video drivers. It’s not the speakers—I’ve tested both my usual setup and surround sound. I’ve tried reinstalling graphics drivers and updating the games, but static audio issues persist. Even though I like Windows 10, I’m weighing wiping it clean and restoring Windows 8.1 unless someone shares a fix.

I haven't encountered any issues with Windows 10 or gaming. (Except for Nvidia's delayed W10 driver updates)

It seems everything is functioning well on my setup. The AMD drivers are working properly, and I haven’t noticed any issues. Could you clarify if you made any changes or performed a clean install?

It appears my drivers frequently fail after logging in, yet the system still operates. I’m curious how DX12 will enhance the gaming experience.

If upgraded from Windows 8.1, I recommend doing a clean installation, which would certainly assist.

I've experienced identical performances or better so far on version 10.

It was an improvement. Thinking about a fresh setup of Windows 10 before I return.

I haven't encountered the issues you mentioned, but my initial action would be to perform a fresh installation of Windows 10 and proceed from there.

I've experienced some problems with games freezing, but it's not as severe as on Windows 8.1.

It could be due to a specific driver or issue. I recommend performing a clean installation as well.
