Similar to that; https://www.ebay.com/itm/133378051236 I set up my NAS and the motherboard didn’t include an IO shield (second-hand). Not having one is frustrating. I’m looking for an official one, but ASUS won’t sell me one and there are no listings on eBay for the ASUS P9D-MV.
It's not essential to use an IO shield for devices like a NAS, since you're unlikely to connect many peripherals there.
Appears quite poor; a 3d printed version would be much better if you can't find the real thing—someone should probably create one.
I'm really worried about bugs sneaking into my PC via that big opening, + it's strange to pay such a high price for a device while ignoring a simple solution.
For a simple solution, just use a cardstock sheet, some adhesive, and scissors to create a decent repair.
