They kept the 8.1 version due to issues with the start screen for desktop users. Multi-monitor support remains functional since they keep the same title bar colors for active and inactive windows (just lighter and darker accents). Edge didn’t meet expectations as it can’t batch open favorites. The new interface and icons are quite harsh on my eyes, even more than Material Design.

I need a Windows 10 system, but many updates warn about upgrading to Windows 10 Home failing. It seems your fan control app might be interfering. People who upgraded often report similar issues.

The main reasons for not upgrading yet are the difficulties in backing up the steam libraries and the lack of customizable updates.
