You can configure it to capture up to 600 seconds of video automatically, and a button will save the clip. Performance varies by game; BF4 worked well, but some titles like Shogun 2 crashed on startup. I didn’t disable Steam overlay or Origins because I wasn’t recording, and I heard it caused issues. I’m considering testing it properly, so far only BF4 has been recorded, others just run. I might review it later and wonder if my preference is justified. I’m also curious about whether my frustration is warranted.
That's great news. I really hope things improve soon. Shadowplay and Shadow Mode are the only factors that would convince me to purchase an Nvidia graphics card. Once I understand this, I'll probably choose Radeon. Thanks for the advice, and I'm eager to see the review if you're planning one.
I rely on it because it comes bundled with the driver and I've earned around 3.692 points, mainly through casual play (around 800 points for setting up a profile and fine-tuning some games). A Sapphire R7 260X is worth 35,000 points (they claim it's discounted by 50% and normally costs 70,000, but the deal applies because I use it). A Sapphire R9 270 is priced at 80,000 points (they say it's 41% off and usually costs 135,000, again the offer is active since I use it). Even though I don't play many games in the app right now, you can reach a maximum of 40-50 points per day with regular use. Sometimes it takes just 30 minutes, other times up to 5 hours (though the system isn't quite working yet). I continue using it because it doesn’t bother me and runs quietly in the background. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll have enough points to upgrade my GPU, especially since I stick with AMD cards.
The DVR recording is decent, but everything else about it feels useless. I only use it to record gameplay.
