I'm offering my motherboard and CPU to a friend who needs a budget PC for his daughter. He values appearance, so I kept the Aura lighting intact. While used items don't always need perfect looks, I wanted to be considerate. After testing it, I found out the board isn't compatible with Aura. I contacted Asus and they advised me to reach out to their technical support for further guidance. Do others have similar experiences with ASUS assistance?

Perhaps its age has already stripped it of backing?

It's still receiving updates. So, no.

This refers to a warranty policy. Legally it states that once the warranty period expires, you're limited to receiving bug fixes and no further support, which is considered acceptable but unsatisfactory.

It's not just about the issue. Be real—telling my mom I don't have that capability is really frustrating.

Usually Asus customer service isn't great, and there are plenty of negative experiences to share. Unless you're talking about BIOS updates, the tech support seems pretty lacking.

Have you installed the Aura program or Armoury Crate software? The Aura version seems quite outdated; I’d remove it and switch to Armoury Crate for RGB support.

I ceased purchasing Asus mobos after they stopped supporting Windows 10 two years ago. I believe they’ll keep underperforming, so I no longer consider them worthwhile investments. Now I’m exploring MSI instead.
