I chose to try it again because some updates were applied recently. I've observed a clear variation in performance between low and ultra modes, though the visual changes aren't extreme. Anyone else have noticed this?

Same scenario with AC4, little variation from low to ultra (excluding A), yet the frame reduction was terrible.

I saw the AC1 feature too. The setup shown in those screenshots matches what I had. Back then, I played at 60fps with high settings. I also found AC3 and Blackflag to be superior to Unity.

That sounds a bit amusing, I’m not entirely convinced by the comparison, but you’re right.

Unity offers a wide range of capabilities in its graphics, yet that doesn’t guarantee visual quality. A game with limited tech can still appear impressive.

Unity seems quite poor when compared to ACI. It's really disappointing.

I don’t like Ubisoft or their inconsistent releases. However, I saw my friend using AC: Unity on his R9 280x and it didn’t seem as terrible as those images suggest, particularly the visuals. I’m not sure what caused those poor looks.

Artistic vision and execution come first over technical aspects. I reinstalled Mass Effect 2 and it turns out well. It may not be top-notch technically, but the environments are meticulously designed, with impressive particle effects and skyboxes. The characters feel real, and the maps are engaging enough to inspire exploration.
