I'm considering purchasing it, and according to the reviews it's a solid piece of software. However, I value insights from someone who uses it regularly rather than just reading opinions. I've begun testing it on my current setup: 1) How does it handle a less powerful CPU compared to my i7-4790k? 2) What's its performance with AMD GPUs? 3) Does recording with an external mic work well alongside desktop or game capture? Any further tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead!
I've always relied on BBFlashback Recorder. It works well for desktop and 3D apps when you adjust the settings to MPEG mode and set the frame rate to 60. My laptop, an i5-3337u with 8GB RAM, doesn't notice much slowdown. I'm unsure how it performs during gaming since I haven't recorded gameplay yet. I've never heard of Action! recorder before, but their site suggests it's reliable. I might test it on a game later to check for lag.
