I'm looking to minimize the tracking methods used by major tech firms and explore alternatives to Fire TV Stick or Chrome Cast. I'm considering Steam OS, but it seems other controller-style OSs look a bit outdated. Running Steam on a Raspberry Pi is an idea I've heard, and I'm curious if anyone has tried it or has suggestions for a different home theater OS.
Android boxes work pretty well tbh. Pi's are also in shortage right now and there are an abundance of android boxes
they don’t have extensive tracking buckets like android boxes. i was trying to find something simpler, and inst web os has more limited features @RTX 3090.
Try installing Linux on a Raspberry Pi to bypass tracking (Steam OS will also monitor you) https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewforum...start=1225
SteamOS supports the Raspberry Pi, but ensuring smooth performance goes beyond just installing Linux.
