Last night I and a few colleagues ran some tests on the valve master server used by game servers. We observed that servers with the strongest pings are prioritized for clients, while those with weaker pings are sent later. We think Valve might be sending them in the opposite sequence, but I’d also like to hear if anyone else notices this so we can verify it’s not just our setup. You can check the discussion thread here on Steam – since there were no other suitable places, we shared it in the beta client group. If you know better spots, let me know! https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SteamC...612086141/

This method ensures equal opportunity by adjusting the response sequence. Previously, faster players could dominate due to early pings, while slower players were disadvantaged. Now, the order is reversed to create a more balanced environment.

We're discussing the order of servers sent to a client rather than how the game runs. For instance, if you're in Ireland and aim for an Irish or UK server, you'll notice a delay of about a minute before any are available, while closer servers appear immediately.

This could be due to a problem with the server setup, possibly a "Valve" issue. It seems you usually connect through the official site but it doesn’t show up there. That kind of inconsistency might be on Valve’s end.

It clearly points to the reason behind the problem. We're working hard on our side to get this noticed by Steam, and we're hoping for a resolution soon!
