You're encountering issues installing the Intel Ethernet driver named NETwtw04.sys on a system with 16 cores. Have you tried reaching out to community forums or support channels for assistance?
It's a PC, but I need the specific driver details. Ethernet drivers are involved; let me check what you currently have. You mentioned version 1607—confirm that.
You can share your system details and hardware info. It’s helpful to know if you’re using a custom build or OEM setup, and whether your Windows version is original or older. Ethernet drivers are supported. Please send a screenshot of the issue and let me know when it occurs. Did the 1703 upgrade work?
Handmade. Details are in my signature. It didn’t get an upgrade. I’d have to wait about two hours to take a screenshot since it would need to download itself again. The error reads: Intel Ethernet Driver NETwtw04.sys and 16 cores. I’m not connecting via an Ethernet cable. Instead, I’m using the WiFi card on my laptop because this board needs it, and I removed both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi too—nothing worked.
Create a bootable USB with the latest 1703 update. Execute the installation from the drive and check for any issues. Consider removing Wi-Fi hardware and associated drivers beforehand to avoid conflicts. Backup important files and plan for a fresh setup if needed.
Selecting OS allows you to pick W10 Anniversary (1607) or Creators (1703).
