Hey there, I've been enjoying CS for four years now. About a year ago I upgraded to 144Hz and have reached global. I'm curious if anyone has ever hit global at 60Hz lately, especially since most players are using newer gear—it probably feels tougher now. I was around DMG when I played at 60Hz.

Back in 2014/2015, then I played with SMFC. When I upgraded to a 240Hz, I also got into GE. Before that, I was using 60Hz.

Yeah man, I think it was before the rank shift though, am I right? I was kinda wondering if anyone made it around there recently, since most people play with >120hz monitors, and reaction time is increased for 60hz monitors

I also got to GE a couple of years ago using 60 hz. It is definately possible to do so. Buying a 120+ hz monitor wont magically just make you better. It will definately make the game feel more smooth and more pleasing. But if you are used to 60hz right now. There is nothing stopping you from reaching GE

It seems like you're comparing two things—GE in the past versus LEM now. You're feeling nostalgic for GE but think LEM is the best currently.

Back in the day GE was definitely stronger. Probably because most serious players stick to MM, Faceit, or ESEA rather than playing regular games. Maybe my experience was at a much higher level, which doesn’t really show how GE performs now compared to older titles like MGE or DMG. When I play MM today, it feels just as solid as those classic games.

I’m far from where I used to be, and GE doesn’t seem nearly as tough these days. At least having bad teammates is still a challenge.

I understand your point. I attempted some level 10 faceit matches a while back, and you might encounter some really intense opponents. Still, I’m nowhere near where I was at my best.
