No OC settings in BIOS
No OC settings in BIOS
Hello! I purchased RAM for my PC and attempted to adjust the timing, but I couldn't locate the BIOS settings for this change. I'm unsure if the BIOS actually supports modifying this feature. My concern is what options are available right now. It's American Megatrends v02.61 (https://prnt.sc/svz9py). I tried updating using a .1M file from the manufacturer, but the program expects a .ROM file instead. I'm not sure if this will resolve the issue of enabling OC functionality. My motherboard is an Acer G43T-AM V.2. I own two 1GB DDR2 800MHz modules (all at 800MHz) and currently run Windows at 667MHz. According to CPU-Z, it's 333MHz. This information is just for reference.
This specific motherboard cannot be overclocked since it was originally used with an Acer Aspire tower system. Acer implemented a locked BIOS on these boards. Pre-built units from companies like HP, Dell, and Acer are not meant to be modified or operated outside the standard "as-is" configuration.
