I received a X870 Aorus Elite Wi-Fi from Gigabyte. After unpacking and inspecting, I noticed a screw stuck in the AMTI static bag. Since I'm assembling my OC table, the situation looks messy, and it seems this screw might not have come from the same place. My OCD is really getting the better of me. Just to be sure—does any board use these particular screws?

Based on what I understand, most motherboards are sold with just one screw-in package, typically for M.2 slots. However, since your board uses an "M.2 latch" mechanism, it’s unlikely to have shipped with it, and the screw size probably wouldn’t fit an M.2 connector anyway.

Reviewing the image of your motherboard on Google, the screws resembling those you mentioned and colored differently are the CPU socket screws. Just verify that one? Even though they’re meant not to be removed easily, it seems you’re okay with it.

The discussion resembles fasteners used for 3.5" hard drives or expansion cards securing them inside the case.
