I'm checking a MATX board with two RAM slots to see if the available space is consistent across different form factors. I'm trying to fit a D15 RAM stick in the gap between the heatsink and front fan. Most MATX boards with just two slots are uncommon, but I've seen some ITX models work this way. If the space is uniform, it should fit your board without issues.

The atx spec doesn't set a fixed location for the RAM. It depends on each board, with some designs placing it further away to accommodate bigger coolers.

My mind is really fuzzy, almost hoping everything would be uniform. Luckily my board appears to have the RAM positioned as close as possible to the CPU, similar to ITX designs... maybe I should just proceed.

everything follows the ATX standard, which is defined by the ATX specification. heatsink dimensions aren<|pad|>, which is beneficial.
