This new GPU doesn<|pad|> to be installed without needing a reinstall. The sole instances requiring OS updates are for the motherboard and main hard drive upgrades.

Certainly not... Perhaps if it's a different manufacturer like Nvidia or AMD, just the drivers would help.

Just removing the old drivers is sufficient. Use Revo Uninstaller to delete them, then wipe any remaining files. After that, install the GPU and set up the corresponding driver!
