they discovered a method to disappoint in each franchise they encounter, likely starting with BF3
Mass Effect: Andromeda was a poor choice on my end, that's for sure. It seems someone else convinced me to go ahead. He’d already placed the order for his first PC game and wanted a friend to play along. Usually, I only buy something when I’m certain about it—like collecting series such as Metroid or Zelda. I’m not referring to just skins; I mean real bonuses, like an extra game included. I pre-ordered A Link Between Worlds and received Oracle of Ages with it.
loot crates from FFS DLCs that fit naturally into the game from its release
Game has worked well for me. The only problems I've faced are crashes or freezes when I exit the score streak training back to HQ. The loading screen keeps appearing. I can tolerate the server issues at this point. Right now, having a rocky server is pretty typical for new releases, though still not ideal. Not enough to warrant a refund. This is my favorite game since Black Ops 1. It's finally running properly. Also, if you own the game now, you can play for just under two hours and decide whether you like it before getting a refund.
The reality is that loot boxes and broken games will continue to exist. Creating modern games is costly, and these questionable methods are bringing in substantial revenue beyond just sales. If they abandoned those practices, retail prices would likely rise sharply—perhaps close to 200 dollars for a game like Battlefield, including all branding. I don’t like the situation, but it seems unlikely to change soon. FeelsBadMan @Majestic @GeneralWinter Suggest taking a breath or rallying support through PMs or similar channels.
It's just been a rough launch so far. Most games have problems at start, but I think they'll resolve themselves. For a CoD title, these issues shouldn't last long. Pushing for a refund now seems unreasonable. Back then it was 20%, but it's clearly gone. It's a tough time. I still enjoy loot crates.
If you don’t enjoy the game, just move on. Otherwise, hold off until more updates arrive for the games and servers.
