I checked the details and found that the MSI B450M PRO-VDH MAX Micro ATX AM4 board should work with the 3200G without needing a BIOS update, according to some sources. The Gigabyte B450M DS3H may require an update, but others have used it successfully. Since you're planning a long-lasting office setup, the Gigabyte option seems more cost-effective and reliable.

All MSI MAX boards are now compatible with Ryzen 3000 CPUs. Today most boards come pre-configured for this chipset. When Ryzen 3000 launched, every new board shipped with its BIOS ready for the processor. Unless a retailer has kept the unit on display for over a year, it should function out of the box. If you see the model listed on the packaging, you can confirm its compatibility.

I bought the motherboard through an online store, so I can’t inspect the packaging. There’s no microcenter close by. Sad Do you think the Gigabyte board is a good choice?

From my perspective, most B450 boards should now support Ryzen 3000 processors, so there’s little cause for concern. It might be useful to check with the retailer to verify compatibility and learn about any return options if needed.

JIT logistics in today’s supply chains allow quick changes to the BIOS being uploaded at the production line. This means you can feel confident purchasing from large suppliers like AZ, NewEgg, or B&H after just a few months.

It's okay. It might not be the best, but it will handle a 3200G just fine.

Choosing the MSI version over the gigabyte could help ensure longer durability for the device when used by someone else.

The MSI options are quite alike. For the 3200G model, the choice really depends on the processor—like a Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7—since that affects power consumption.
