I understand the Ryzen 2000 isn't officially supported on the B550, but some users manage to get by. I've got a solid deal on a B550 gaming processor, and I'm curious if it'll fit with my current R7 2700 until I upgrade to a 5800X3D next month.

The question asks why you invested in a B550 while you already have a B450. It suggests your existing board is sufficient and recommends upgrading to a 5800X3D instead.

Hold off until you purchase the 5800x3d to get the B550. The reason for doing this is to avoid repeating the same effort.
