I've been using my computer with 16GB of RAM for a while, and recently added another 16GB of the same type. I noticed that two sticks are C17 and the other two are C18. So far, everything is working fine, but I'm curious if adding more memory affects performance.

Typically yes, but it will only operate at cl18.

Yes, it is. Every stick moves at the identical pace, which means the CL17 stick is now operating at CL18. Both are also moving quite slowly. (CL18 and CL17 are both slow)

Nothing seems to be moving fast at the moment.

It's different from what you think. The improvement isn't obvious because of faster RAM; it's about how well the computer actually works in tasks like games or file compilation.

No, a lower CL does not significantly affect how cad runs.

You won't notice any variation. Confirm what CL refers to and how it's defined. CL18 applies to 3600MHz RAM. Everything is okay.

They will operate at the lower speed and frequency, possibly skipping dual channel altogether
