gpu: gigabyte 2070 super mb ram: asrock x570 taichi ram: g.skill trident z rgb 3600mhz 32gb psu: tx750m 80+ gold corsair case: lian li pc-o11 dynamic it’s only 100 euros more than a 3700x and i’ve got the funds. Just checking if it’s not too much.

It depends on your needs. For gaming a 3700x works, but you shouldn't depend on me since I don’t have much knowledge about AMD.

I’ve got the 3800x and use it for school work and gaming. It’s so overkill for that, I could have gone with a 3600x and never seen a difference. Unless you have a specific use case for the 12 cores, I would go with the 3700x. If it’s not enough for you in the future, you can always upgrade to the 4xxx series when it comes out.
