On Windows 8 and 8.1, a method existed to bypass product key installation. If Windows 11 Home enforces internet access for installation, someone should find a workaround. During a previous internship at a non-profit, I assisted with resetting and reformatting their laptops—many were basic consumer Windows 10 machines running Windows 10 Home. Requiring an email account in Windows 11 would lock these devices into Windows 10, leading to eventual unsupport or forced upgrades to Pro without activation.
