You could insert it and test it out. I believe it wouldn’t harm the system. Just note, it’s not a USB device.

I think this applies to BIOS setup/testing. Asus stores their firmware headers in that location on their chips.

Also, is this the correct board? It's noted to have two internal USB headers. Edit: Seems they show one header as two ports, likely due to how a cable connects to external ports.
