Your GPU isn't being heavily used in these games, so the slowdown is likely due to software problems rather than hardware limitations. 1440p versions of Rainbow Six and Apex are known to be quite demanding on graphics.

The 8700 should easily match up with a 2080S, suggesting the problem might be software-related. Where are you obtaining your usage data from? Which graphics card were you running before the upgrade, and have you cleared any old drivers using DDU, then reinstalled the newest version from Nvidia’s site? What power supply unit are you using? Did you connect the video cable to the motherboard or the graphics card?

The performance isn't very good, with a much lower score around 70%.

Optimize the video configurations and observe any changes in CPU/GPU activity. These components shouldn't cause significant performance issues.

Are there any other activities running besides the game? Consider using a benchmark to check if your performance matches expectations.

I use the built-in tool called TaskManager to check utilization.

No need to change—your current setup works well. Let me know if you'd like suggestions for alternatives.

Not always a slow point. Certain games rely more on the CPU.
