I recently purchased a 2080 Super and have been experiencing full CPU usage during gameplay. My CPU model is an 8700, and I’m wondering if this could be a problem for my 2080.

Check if the graphics card is fully operational and identify the titles that use it.

It seems unclear which games are using such a high resolution without GPU involvement. I’m not sure about the specifics like your display settings or the titles you’re playing, which might affect the interpretation.

CPU usage is maximum while the video card operates at a reduced level. Rainbow Six and Apex Legends are running smoothly.

Are you noticing any real slowdowns or reduced frame rates? I wouldn’t worry much unless you see those issues. Look into your task manager to identify resource-heavy processes.

I've set my specs to 1440p with a 144Hz refresh rate. The titles are Rainbow Six and Apex Legends.

What does 'way lower' mean? Check if all cores are running at full capacity. If you're seeing solid frame rates, you're likely fine.
