The 5800x with 8 cores appears to offer poor value, so I switched to the 5900x. It doesn’t seem like a big difference, so I’m proceeding to cancel it.
I own three separate PCIe power cables because my 6900 XT has three 8-pin power connectors. I believe the problem only appears during low-demand games on competitive settings. High-quality graphics games work perfectly, so I thought the CPU wasn’t powerful enough.

Games run best on 8 cores (and usually don't gain much from more than 6), so the 5800x seems like a smarter choice. But if you're a content creator with 12 cores, it makes sense to pay for that extra power and threads to handle your tasks better.
