I'm setting up my PC and have purchased several components, but GPU availability is limited. Could you confirm if the MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX AM4 board supports 144Hz or even 240Hz on my Odyssey G7?

Since GPUs are limited, you're thinking about a motherboard. That might be confusing.

the motherboard lacks a dedicated gpu; it features cpus and ports for connecting a gpu in a cpu to a monitor. the x570 tomahawk is an excellent choice, but an i-gpu isn't powerful enough to handle 1080p smoothly.

I plan to wait for a GPU and rely on the built-in graphics instead. After some investigation, I learned that integrated graphics (IG) are actually on the CPU. With a 6800X, does it support IG? If it does, is it sufficient for your needs? Please understand I might sound a bit confused, but I’m just trying to figure out what I can run until I get a GPU.

The IGPU should handle 144+ Hz displays well for the 6800X.

Only the 3400g offers a solid Vega 11 with an iGPU, the 5600x isn't just about AMD or CPUs, and its maximum resolution stays at 1080p with 60Hz.

Your screen remains limited to 60 frames per second until you upgrade your graphics card.

It lacks an integrated graphics processor. For visuals on AMD systems without a separate GPU, you must use one of the APUs.

not limited to caps, it caps at 60 fps under low settings, appears choppy at higher refresh rates, reducing the refresh rate doesn’t boost speed, just looks smoother at lower framerates

It can feel confusing—high refresh rates combined with low frame rates often mean poor image quality. For instance, if a game runs at 30 FPS but the refresh rate is set to 120 Hz, the screen might still appear blurry or stutter. The key is balancing both factors for optimal performance.
